Murder at the Dart, Art Work by Lee Cripps and Ceramics by Susan Paczek

While you’re there don’t forget to vote for Picnic at Dart as best new restaurant!

Greetings, Dartmouthians!

It’s been far too long since I’ve written – I hope you are all enjoying your summer!

Things have been hopping here at the Dart Gallery – have you heard that we’ve expanded and added a restaurant and bar?  We are so thrilled to join forces with Chef Allan McPherson to present ‘Picnic at Dart.’  For the last several years, Chef Allan has run a pop-up restaurant called Picnic where he created incredible themed dinners and held them in different locations around HRM.  Lucky for us, we had many of these dinners here at the gallery – and when the space next door opened up, we decided to create a permanent restaurant and bar space called ‘Picnic at Dart.’  If you haven’t had Chef Allan’s food yet, you don’t know what you’re missing!  Picnic at Dart offers lunch, weekend brunch, a great selection of beer, wine, and cocktails, and dinner.   The coolest part is, the dinner menu changes with the art show – and is inspired by the current exhibit!  To check out the current menu, click here: http://www.thedartgallery.com/picnic-at-dart/

We have a brand new show opening on Thursday, July 14 7-9pm and we couldn’t be more excited!  The Dart Gallery is very proud to present ‘Murder at the Dart,’ a crow-themed show featuring incredible new works by Lee Cripps.  We’ll also have beautiful crow ceramic pieces by Susan Paczek.  On opening night you can also be the first to try the new dinner menu!  We’re really excited about this one – and, we also have two Pride inspired dishes to celebrate Pride this year.

Finally, it’s that time of year again – it’s The Coast’s Best of Halifax voting time.  It was a huge thrill to feel the support of our community and win Best Gallery in 2014 and 2015, and we’d love to make that happen again in 2016! Your support is immensely appreciated if we’d love it if you could take a moment to vote us Best Gallery here: http://thecoast.secondstreetapp.com/l/Best-of-Halifax-2016-BOH16/Ballot/Cultureartsampentertainment   While you’re there don’t forget to vote for Picnic at Dart as best new restaurant!
Until next time,
Peace, love, & carrots,

Huxley
