Change is in the Air on Main Street, Dartmouth!
The first construction in decades has just started and more development projects are in the works.
Everything is set for us to re-build our neighbourhood with a focus towards the needs of people of all ages young and old. Our community will provide modern, high quality, affordable places for people to live.
It’s now possible to build residences above street level shops, restaurants and work places. We can finally bring convenient urban village community living to our district. Our area already boasts the highest concentration of health and wellness services in Atlantic Canada. Practically everything needed for daily living is within walking distance with more variety to come as new developments follow.
Come to the Garden View Restaurant on March 3 at 3PM and meet with your neighbours again to continue planning the changes. We could not have come this far without your continued valuable input.
Your help has allowed us to get something that every other district would love to have. Come learn all about it and why it is so prized!
We have a full illustrated presentation of the streetscapes of every street in our district. It is fascinating to see the before and after images.
Where should our public spaces be located? What’s new about public transit , bike paths, gateways and landscaping? We have worked on these questions but we need your views and perspectives on the options currently being studied. Come help us decide!
There is so much more to talk about so please come help us build a better community.
